Desert roof tent for 4 people - 220 cm

The Desert roof tent can generally be mounted on almost any car. All you need is a roof rack, which could be our ExRoof platform, a roof rack, or two crossbars similar to those used for a roof box from other manufacturers.

Do you want to experience freedom while still feeling at home? A converted van sounds great, but it's too big for narrow mountain paths and small towns. With a rooftop tent like the Desert, you have all the options, whether on a Defender, pickup truck, smaller car, or trailer.

Everything included

The Desert roof tent comes with a lot included: an 8cm high cold foam mattress, all mounting parts for attaching it to your roof rack (works for all common models).

Robust material

The Desert roof tent is made of 280 g canvas. The combination of 65% polyester and 35% cotton ensures breathability and a comfortable climate inside the tent. Thanks to the robust 210D polyester flysheet with a 5000 mm water column rating, you are effectively protected from rain. Another advantage in bad weather is the dry entry from below.

Optional awning

For our Desert roof tent, we also offer matching awnings to extend your living area.

The awning attaches to the roof tent with sturdy YKK zippers. The spacious awning's floor is waterproof and removable when not in use. The walls protect you from icy drizzle and wind on cold days (the awning's breathable fabric, unlike the roof tent, is not completely waterproof) and from the blazing sun in summer. A great feature is that you can open the windows when needed, and they are then additionally protected by mosquito nets.

Suitable for all vehicle models

Our roof tents are suitable for all vehicle models. All you need is a roof rack (we'd love it if you bought one from horntools, but if you already have a different roof rack, you're welcome to use that too). The roof tent is then attached to the roof rack. Everything you need for this is included with the roof tent. Whether it's a T5, T6, Jimny, Ford Ranger, pickup, VW Bus, station wagon, or Golf – the Desert fits every car. Please note, however, the roof load capacity of your vehicle. You can find this in the owner's manual or online. The roof load must be sufficient to support the roof tent.

Delivery:

Delivery within the European Union is free of charge from €100 and applies to the majority of items in our portfolio. Exceptions are freight shipments over 30kg, which must be shipped on a pallet (e.g. roof tents, drawer pull-outs, rock sliders, some cable winches).
