Day 1: “Arrival day in Oradea”

Our adventure begins on Sunday in Oradea, just a stone's throw from the Hungarian-Romanian border. The group will meet at 3 p.m. at a pleasant hotel, where we'll get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere. After checking in, we'll install the rental two-way radios in the off-road vehicles to ensure communication during the tour. In the evening, we'll gather in the hotel restaurant for a convivial dinner. Here, we'll share our initial impressions, discuss the challenges ahead, enjoy the regional cuisine, and forge new friendships as our anticipation for the days ahead grows.

Day 2: “Cave Tour”

On Monday, a day full of exciting experiences awaits us in unspoiled nature. We'll explore a mysterious cave, illuminated by torches. Steep descents and challenging climbs will test our riding skills. Unique views await us at a historic dam dating back to the Ceaușescu era. Our route leads past impressive rock faces and over tricky switchbacks. A picturesque stream accompanies us into a romantic valley, where we'll set up camp in nature.

Day 3: “Panorama Tour”

On Tuesday, we'll begin with a short transfer stage to prepare for the challenges ahead. Afterwards, we'll tackle a muddy climb, which is particularly demanding when wet. Reaching the top, we'll be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic high-altitude trail, offering fantastic scenery throughout the day. The sweeping views across the surrounding valleys and mountains are simply unforgettable. We'll stop frequently to fully appreciate the beauty of nature. If our group is making good progress, we'll spend the night at 1,600 meters near small shepherd's huts.

Day 4: "Romanian Evening"

On Wednesday, we leave our panoramic route and descend through an impressive gorge. Our destination is Campeni, where we'll have the opportunity to buy supplies and refuel. After a short break, we continue our journey along gravel roads that lead us through dense beech forests. We gradually gain altitude, reaching approximately 1,000 meters above sea level. Here, we'll be rewarded with a picturesque view. Arriving at our camp for the night, we'll prepare for a special evening. We'll cook fish soup from the Danube Delta for you. While we eat together, we'll enjoy the warm atmosphere, the crackling campfire, and perhaps a shot or two of Țuică (traditional plum brandy). A perfect end to a varied and memorable day!

Day 5: “Steep, steeper, steepest…”

…is the motto on Thursday. From the camp, we descend an extremely steep slope to a charming village with several churches. Afterwards, we climb steeply again to 1041 meters, navigating a narrow, rocky path. The ride demands full concentration, but the reward is a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. After the ascent, we follow a ridge trail that presents a further challenge. The route becomes particularly demanding in wet conditions, but the effort is well worth it.

We spend the night "top of the mountain". With the right weather conditions, the mountain is shrouded in a band of clouds, and only our camp at the summit peeks out above the cloud cover.

Day 6: “A day full of discoveries”

Friday promises another exciting day, taking us to an old radar station at an altitude of 1,826 meters. Visiting this historical site will give us insight into the region's past and its significance. Afterward, we'll stop at a picturesque monastery near Belis, where its tranquil atmosphere will enchant us. Here, we'll have the opportunity to experience the spiritual side of Romania. In the afternoon, our journey together will conclude with a sense of inner peace, newly formed friendships, and anticipation for the next great adventures with horntools and 4x4-moments.

See you soon!
