Description

When used with winches, horntools plastic ropes are characterized by their extremely low weight. With a 4-ton winch system, you save approximately 10 kg of weight that you'd be carrying around in front of the axle year in, year out.

Security:

Safety is another important consideration with synthetic ropes. If the rope breaks, it doesn't spring back like a steel cable, which could cause serious injuries.

Rope guide:

Recovery winches installed in cars and four-wheel drive vehicles generally do n't have a cable guide. Without a cable guide, the cables are bound to not wind up correctly, causing them to flip over. With a steel cable, this can lead to a strand break inside the cable. Synthetic cables are much more resilient in this regard.

Heat sensitivity:

 Of course, there are no advantages without disadvantages – synthetic ropes are very sensitive to heat, which is especially true for electric winches that have a brake in the cable drum. The electric motor and the drum brake heat up. That's why our ropes have heat protection for the first layer of rope, which absorbs a lot of the heat.

Care:
Maintaining your synthetic ropes is very important. We offer a waterproofing treatment that not only keeps the rope supple but also prevents water and dust from penetrating. The waterproofing lubricates the rope's exterior, thus reducing friction. Water can become a problem if it freezes, causing the rope to break very easily. Dust and dirt settle in the rope and wear down the material over time. Do not put your synthetic ropes in the washing machine or wash them under extreme pressure with a pressure washer. This will weaken the fibers.
